Hampton Park is Charleston’s largest patch of green with 60 acres sandwiched between The Citadel and some of the city’s most picturesque old neighborhoods. The Citadel plebes were running drills while I got out my paints and put in my earbuds.
It was a good spot to stretch my legs on the drive down to Savannah where I picked up my wife after a long (and late) train ride from DC. We had a perfect snack and night-with-the-locals at Over Yonder in the Starland neighborhood.
